Downs Care and Rehab in Downs, KS is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring clinical team. The role includes providing total resident care and supporting ADLs, meal times, and mobility.

The position offers a competitive pay of $18.00 to $19.80 per hour plus a $2,500 signing bonus, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, a 401(k), PTO and CEU reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents, including assisting with ADLs, bathing, grooming, feeding and mobility.
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and monitor health status.
• Perform routine care as defined by the resident plan and CNA assignment card.
• Observe changes in condition, attitude or appetite and report to the team promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements and facility policies.
• Deliver friendly, compassionate care and build trusted relationships with residents and families

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You provide total care for our residents, starting with carefully assisting with providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents (including washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care and catheter care). You perform care as defined by resident plan of care/CNA assignment card. You visit with residents and reposition as required.

With a close eye for detail, you record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight. You also conduct range of motion as needed.

You take great care to observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior that you find when caring for your residents. You live up to the trust of those in your care by maintaining confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements as well as upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues. Qualifications For a Certified Nursing Assistant (cna)

• Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
