Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Documents to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy and reimbursement.
• Coordinates with other disciplines for effective total patient care.
• Assists in discharge planning and provides patient/family instruction.
• Maintains PTA clinical expertise through continuing education.
• Supervises students and volunteers.
• Represents the Physical Therapy Department to family, visitors, and staff.

Education
