Job summary

Pocahontas Center in West Virginia is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support the therapy team in delivering client-centered care. You will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents and help them regain functional abilities in a skilled nursing setting.

The role offers a 30-hour work week, with Monday through Friday hours and occasional weekend rotation, and a competitive hourly salary with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current OTA license in the state of West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the OT in evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment plans under supervision, including exercises, activities, and modalities.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report changes to the OT.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated resident care.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions and progress.
• Adhere to state/federal regulations and facility policies.
