You will support licensed therapists, help seniors regain strength and mobility, and educate families on home exercise programs.

Ideal candidates have an accredited PTA program completion, an active PTA license, and a passion for geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Interest in working with the senior population.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care per the treatment plan.
• Assist patients with walking, transferring, and dressing as needed.
• Conduct therapy activities within defined standards of care.
• Communicate with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Adhere to policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Deliver care at assisted living locations for diverse seniors.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs for independence.
• Document patient care in EMR per state and facility standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
