Job summary

Majestic Care of McCordsville in Indiana seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis. You will support delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care under a licensed Physical Therapist’s supervision, focusing on mobility, strength, and independence for residents.

The role emphasizes geriatric rehabilitation, clinical precision, and compassionate care, with collaboration across an interdisciplinary team and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities to improve strength, balance, and independence.
• Monitor resident responses during treatment sessions and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Support resident and family education under the direction of the Physical Therapist to promote safe carryover of therapy strategies.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
