Job summary

Majestic Care of McCordsville is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering compassionate geriatric rehabilitation. You will implement treatment plans under a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on mobility, strength, and independence for residents.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with care staff to ensure resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; state licensure as PTA preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities to improve strength, balance and independence.
• Monitor resident responses during treatment sessions and communicate progress or changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain documentation of treatment sessions and adhere to HIPAA and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
