Job summary
Deer Oaks Behavioral Health — Long-Term Care Clinical Services is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to deliver comprehensive psychological testing and assessments for adults in long-term care settings. You will provide cognitive evaluations, diagnostic reports, and evidence-based recommendations to support treatment planning and interdisciplinary care.
The role emphasizes autonomy with strong clinical and administrative support.
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist with experience in testing and assessment for geriatric populations.
- Strong skills in cognitive and neuropsychological testing and interpretation.
- Ability to deliver diagnostic clarity and evidence-based recommendations for treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct standardized psychological testing (cognitive, neuropsychological, emotional, behavioral, personality).
- Prepare integrated diagnostic reports combining test data, interviews, and observations.
- Provide individual psychotherapy for older adults with complex medical/cognitive needs.
- Collaborate with nursing, social work, physicians, and rehab teams in care planning.
- Ensure timely documentation and compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and APA guidelines.
- Support facility leadership with behavioral strategies and care recommendations.
