Job summary

Deer Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to provide clinical services in long-term care facilities. You will perform evaluations, therapy, and care planning within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on geriatric and medically complex residents.

The role offers weekday schedules, strong clinical and administrative support, and opportunities for professional development in geriatrics and neurocognitive disorders.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Psychologist License.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Comfortable navigating LTC environments.
• Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, mental status exams, and cognitive screenings.
• Provide individual psychotherapy for older adults and those with complex medical or cognitive conditions.
• Facilitate family therapy and caregiver support sessions.
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions when appropriate.
• Provide behavioral management interventions to support residents, staff, and families.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Manage caseload independently while upholding ethical and professional standards.
