Senior Psych Care is seeking a psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services for residents in Houston-area nursing facilities. You will assess, diagnose, and treat cognitive and mood disorders, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Texas medical license, BE/BC status, and willingness to travel across designated facilities. Competitive salary and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in geriatric care.
• BC/BE psychiatrist certification.
• Texas license required; MD/DO degree expected.
• Willingness to travel to nursing homes and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of care for long-term residents in nursing homes.
• Enter diagnostic and treatment plans into the EMR for audits and review.
• Prescribe medications and recommend treatments for mental health conditions.
• Conduct mental health screenings and cognitive assessments.
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and mid-level providers.
• Participate in behavioral rounds and ongoing trainings.
