Job summary

Senior PsychCare in Louisiana seeks a licensed PMHNP or PA to join a mission-driven behavioral health team serving nursing home and assisted living residents. You will perform cognitive and emotional assessments and manage treatment plans with support from psychiatrists.

Qualifications

• Licensed PMHNP or PA in Louisiana.
• Psychiatric/mental health experience required.
• Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred.
• Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling locally.
• Adaptive, flexible, and committed to team-based care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans.
• Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions.
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team.
• Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual).
• Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system.
