Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Washington. The role focuses on providing comprehensive behavioral health services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities in Port Orchard, Gig Harbor, and Bainbridge Island.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
