Job summary
Curana Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality mental health care across SNF, LTC, AL, and IL communities. You will work with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized psychiatric services and ensure continuity of care in the post-acute and long-term care continuum.
The role emphasizes autonomy, clinical and administrative support, and a commitment to improving geriatric behavioral health.
Qualifications
- PMHNP degree and ANCC certification required.
- Active NP license in state of practice.
- DEA license required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rounds and manage psychiatric care across SNF, LTC, AL, IL settings.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and facility staff for coordinated care.
- Evaluate residents' mental health and medical histories; perform exams.
- Order tests, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for mental and physical health.
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments; provide injections as needed.
- Educate patients and families on medications and care plans.
- Work with teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly.
