Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a full-time RN for night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) in Behavioral Health - Geri Psych at UAB St. Vincent's East. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and develop a nursing plan of care within a collaborative treatment team.

Responsibilities include participating in team conferences, implementing care plans, and evaluating patient responses to interventions to support stabilization and long-term wellness.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Alabama prior to hire.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients per facility policies.
• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments per nursing standards.
• Develop a nursing plan of care aligned with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals.
• Implement nursing plan of care and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate responses to interventions and revise the care plan as needed.
