Job summary

CHS Recruiting seeks a Physician for Geriatric Primary Care in Norfolk, VA. The physician will see patients in skilled nursing facilities and long-term care settings with autonomy and a supporting clinical team. The role offers a low patient volume to focus on quality care.

The duties include supervising APPs, engaging with facility leadership, and contributing to quality outcomes. On-call participation, trainings, and meetings are expected as part of routine duties.

Qualifications

• Virginia medical license.
• DEA license.
• Board Certification in Internal/Family Medicine or Geriatrics.
• Experience supervising APPs.
• 3+ years relevant clinical practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality complex geriatric care.
• Engage with facility leadership, other providers, patients, and families.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants.
• Audit documentation for supervised providers monthly.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed.
