Job summary

CHS Recruiting is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to serve geriatric patients in Norfolk, VA, across one or more long-term care facilities. You will deliver primary care with a low patient volume, enabling thorough attention to each case.

The role emphasizes geriatrics and complex patients, with on-site work in Norfolk, Virginia, and a schedule that avoids evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Virginia NP license required.
• DEA registration required.
• Minimum 1 year advanced practice experience.
• Experience in primary care, geriatrics, or related fields.
• Comfort working with medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate medical care.
• Examine and treat chronic illnesses.
• Examine and treat urgent illnesses, minor injuries, etc.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Make referrals as necessary.
• Provide care in long-term care facilities / SNFs.
