Job summary

MRC is seeking a caring Physical Therapy Assistant to provide hands-on therapy that helps older adults build strength, improve mobility, and participate more fully in daily life. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to guide residents through personalized routines and monitor progress for safe rehabilitation.

Qualified candidates will be PTA graduates with an active Texas license, strong observation and communication skills, and 2–3 years of experience in skilled

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state of Texas.
• Two to three years of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, or a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, ambulation, ADLs.
• Help residents safely use walkers, canes, and other adaptive equipment.
• Measure and record range of motion, vital signs, and other treatment data.
• Observe progress and communicate changes to the supervising therapist.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, nursing, and care teams for coordinated care.
• Educate residents and caregivers about routines, safe movement, wellness, and progress.
• Complete treatment and progress documentation accurately and on time.
