Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in Texas.
• Experience with older adults in skilled nursing or senior living settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with therapeutic exercise, mobility, ambulation, and ADLs.
• Measure and record range of motion, vital signs, and other treatment data.
• Observe progress and report changes to supervising therapist.
• Collaborate with rehab, nursing, and care teams for coordinated, resident-centered care.
• Educate residents and caregivers about routines, wellness, and progress.
• Complete treatment and progress documentation accurately and on time.
