Job summary

TEEMA seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time contract in a primarily on-site day health center and home visits. You will support aging adults with restorative therapy and help with administrative duties essential to the program’s success.

The role requires CA PTA licensure, a degree from an accredited program, and at least two years of geriatrics experience, with reliable transportation for occasional field visits.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid, unrestricted California Physical Therapy Assistant License.
• Work Authorization: Legally authorized to practice in California.
• Experience: Minimum of two years as a PTA with frail/elderly population.
• Mobility: Reliable personal transportation for clinic and field visits.
• Skills: Strong organization; ability to process billing and scheduling data.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized PT treatments and exercise programs per supervising PT.
• Document interventions focused on ADLs, balance, endurance, gait, and muscle re-education.
• Assist PT with vitals, ROM, and strength testing.
• Participate in end-of-life care coordination and report changes to the IDT.
• Manage scheduling, visits, and billing processes for rehabilitation.
