Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents in a skilled nursing facility, focusing on mobility, balance, and independence. The PT will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

The role requires a Doctorate or Master’s in Physical Therapy and active state licensure. Experience in geriatric rehabilitation is valued, with opportunities for professional growth and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience or exposure to geriatric rehabilitation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with PT plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, goals and functional abilities.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, mobility enhancement, and manual therapy.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to promote optimal functional outcomes.
• Document progress and adjust plans as condition or goals change.
• Educate residents and families on home programs and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to coordinate care.
• Oversee and support physical therapy assistants in line with state practice acts.
