The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Healthcare Simulation Role Player (Actor) to support training activities by acting as simulated patients or other roles. You will help learners practice communication and navigate sensitive conversations in a realistic setting.

You will portray roles consistently, participate in small-group scenarios, and provide feedback while maintaining confidentiality and undergoing faculty training to ensure accuracy and sensitivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Professional acting experience required; clinical or standardized patient acting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in medical or simulated patient roles is favored.

Responsibilities

• Portray patients and healthcare providers in simulated clinical interactions.
• Collaborate in small group role-play scenarios and provide feedback to caregivers.
• Review clinical case materials before each session.
• Participate in improvisational role plays with emotional accuracy and realism.
• Receive training from faculty to ensure accurate portrayals.
• Maintain confidentiality of case materials and session content.
• Ensure consistent and equitable learning experiences across sessions.
• Foster a safe learning environment during sensitive topics such as cancer discussions.
• Communicate scheduling and availability to program staff.
