NPHire in California is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to round on residents in skilled nursing facilities across Sacramento and Richmond. This independent contractor role offers fee-for-service pay and flexible hours, with visits typically scheduled around a primary role.
You will travel between facilities, assess pain, adjust treatments, prescribe medications as allowed, and coordinate with facility staff to ensure consistent care.
Turn a few hours a week into meaningful extra income while serving patients who badly need care. This growing geriatric pain management practice is expanding into the Bay Area and is looking for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to round on residents in skilled nursing facilities. Clinicians would travel to facilities in Sacramento and Richmond, CA. This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a full-time or part-time job, built for clinicians who want to earn more on top of a primary role. You'd see the same residents week after week, checking in on their pain, adjusting treatment, and coordinating with facility staff. Providers can earn about $4,000 a month (roughly 400 visits at $10 each), and most finish their rounds in just 4-5 hours.
Earn on your own terms: fee-for-service pay of $10 per patient visit, which works out to roughly $90-150 for each hour spent seeing residents. Most providers see 10-15 residents per hour, and some facilities have two residents per room, so rounds move quickly. Fits around your full-time job: see patients before clinic, after clinic, on weekends, or on your days off, then go on with the rest of your day. Focused visits: you assess each resident's pain and move on, with no full head-to-toe exam. Malpractice insurance with tail coverage is included. You're added to the practice's malpractice plan and stay protected against claims filed even after you leave. A formal onboarding program, so you're supported from your first visit. New graduates are welcome, especially those with an RN background in ortho, pain management, SNF, or high-volume ER. A true ground-floor opportunity in a growing Bay Area market, with more positions opening as additional facilities come on board. Deeply needed work: pain in older adults in skilled nursing facilities is chronically undertreated, and you'd be the provider who finally manages it properly.
