Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for the Florida PACE Centers in Fort Lauderdale. You will assist the OT with assessments, treatment plans, and implementing programs under supervision, contributing to in-home and in-center care for older adults.

Required: Florida OTA license, BLS certification, and 2 years of experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association approved curriculum with a license to practice in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
• Current Florida State Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in participant assessments and development of intervention plans.
• Implement treatment programs designed by the OT and monitor progress with measurable outcomes.
• Administer treatment per established plans (ROM, strengthening, ADL, cognition) and ensure safety.
• Provide supervision to rehabilitation aides and students as indicated to OT.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and family meetings as requested.
