Swift Optometry in Northfield, VT is seeking a friendly Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will perform routine exams, diagnose ocular disease, and work with a compassionate team to improve seniors’ vision and independence.

This full-time position requires an OD license and a DEA license. You must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods; compensation is $40.00-$45.00 per patient, with benefits

Qualifications

• Geriatric eye care expertise and ability to manage ocular conditions.
• Strong patient communication and education skills.
• Comfortable working in long-term care settings.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts.
• Perform dilated exams and diabetic evaluations.
• Treat infections and injuries of the eye.
• Repair and fit eyeglasses as needed.
• Diagnose and manage ocular disease and age-related conditions.
• Provide care for geriatric patients.
