Job summary

Swift Optometry is seeking a compassionate Optometrist to join our team serving residents in long‑term care facilities in St. Johnsbury, VT.

You will perform comprehensive eye exams, dilated evaluations, and diabetic eye assessments while managing ocular disease and providing patient education. This full‑time role offers a competitive per‑patient salary, health stipend, paid time off, and malpractice insurance, with a strong focus on geriatric care and improving residents' quality of life

Qualifications

  • Valid OD license.
  • DEA license.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand/walk for 6–8 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contacts.
  • Conduct dilated exams and diabetic evaluations.
  • Treat infections and injuries of the eye.
  • Repair and fit eyeglasses as needed.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular disease and care for geriatric patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients in long‑term care facilities. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
  • Perform dilated exams
  • Provide diabetic evaluations
  • Treatment of infection and injury
  • Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
  • Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population
Requirements
  • Valid OD license
  • DEA License
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
