Swift Optometry is seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Colchester, VT. You will provide comprehensive care to patients in long-term care facilities and play a crucial role in exams, diagnoses, and education while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

This full-time position offers per-patient compensation, opportunities to impact residents’ quality of life, and a supportive environment focused on senior eye care.

Qualifications

• OD license
• DEA License
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Lifting/moving patients.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Perform dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population
