Swift, managed by MedElite, is seeking an Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care in long-term care facilities. This full-time role based in Barre, Vermont involves conducting routine exams, diagnosing ocular conditions, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support geriatric patients.

You will perform dilated exams, diabetic evaluations, and prescribe corrective lenses as part of a compassionate, patient-centered program.

Qualifications

• DO license
• DEA license
• Prolonged sitting/standing; fine motor skills for equipment operation

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Perform dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Proficient in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population
