Job summary

COX HEALTHCARE LTD in Owasso, Oklahoma is seeking a Part-time Occupational Therapist Assistant to treat geriatric patients in a skilled nursing setting.

You will perform therapy treatments, develop plans to maximize each patient’s potential, and work with other therapists and nursing staff to ensure cohesive care. You will educate patients and caregivers for success at home after discharge and maintain complete, accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Current license in the State of Oklahoma in good standing.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed, both verbal and written documentation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing therapy treatments and functions for skilled nursing patients.
• Provide treatment plans that allow your patients to reach their maximum potential or for successful transition to next level of care.
• Work with other therapists and nursing staff to help provide a cohesive quality of care between the clinical needs and therapy needs.
• Be able to educate patients and care givers to be able to success at home after discharge from facility.
• Provide quality documentation as required.
