Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program; eligibility for state licensure.
• Current AOTA Certification and ability to obtain licensure as required by state law.
• CPR/First Aid certifications or plan to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents.
• Secure/interpret physicians’ referrals before starting evaluation or treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document evaluations and progress according to policy.
• Provide resident and family education on therapy plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Attend required meetings and in-services; maintain safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and uphold rights.
