Job summary

Saint John's Communities in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the licensed occupational therapist with treatments that improve resident mobility and daily living activities. You will follow treatment plans, teach transfer and stretching techniques, and help select activities to support independent function while documenting progress and adjusting plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program and Certification.
• Must have effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides services under the direction of licensed occupational therapist.
• Follows treatment plan developed in collaboration with occupational therapist by teaching techniques.
• Assists in the selection of activities and the development of treatment plans to help patients to function independently.
• Observes, monitors, and records resident’s progress, attitudes, and behavior, providing feedback to Occupational Therapist, and recommending changes to their treatment plans.
