Job summary

Oakwood Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care within the therapy department. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with physicians and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role includes supervising assistants, documenting care, and contributing to interdisciplinary team conferences. Must have OT licensure and CPR certification, with geriatric rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT licensure as required.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• CPR certification and safety awareness.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.

Responsibilities

• Aids in restoration of independent function through evaluation and treatment.
• Develops treatment plans and obtains physician approvals.
• Supervises certified OT assistants and/or aides.
• Communicates progress with supervisor and health team.
• Educates families and nursing staff on follow‑through programs.
• Documents evaluations, plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
