Job summary

MARIONVALLEY in is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, design treatment plans, and promote mobility and independence in a skilled nursing setting.

You will supervise COTAs, collaborate with physicians and families, document care accurately, ensure infection control, and educate residents on home exercise and safety.

Bachelor's degree required; state license in good standing; familiarity with Net Health and Point Click Care preferred; sign-on bonus noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state; CPR certification if required.
• Proficient with computer systems used for medical records (Net Health and Point Click Care).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise COTA and students in resident care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families regarding progress and discharge planning.
• Document care accurately per facility, governmental, and payer requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environments and educate residents on home exercises and safety techniques.
