Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and empathetic, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and resident goals.
• Provide OT interventions for ADL training, therapeutic activities, and adaptive equipment training.
• Document resident progress, treatment interventions, and discharge plans according to facility policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to resident goals.
• Stay current with best practices, evidence-based interventions, and regulatory changes in occupational therapy.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to professional standards.
