Job summary

InnovAge is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our adult day health center, preparing and serving snacks and meals while maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.

You will follow diet orders, update diet cards, prepare snacks, and serve meals at proper temperatures with attention to portion control and safety. Collaborating with dietitians, speech therapists, and lead staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Current food safety training or ability to obtain immediately.

Responsibilities

• Distributes meals and beverages in center and/or in home following guidelines.
• Records temperatures of meals and equipment and wears hair net, gloves, apron.
• Updates diet card and diet lists as needed.
• Prepares and serves snacks according to menu, portions, and diet orders.
• Serves meals at proper temperature with reference to diet and portion control.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and equipment per schedule.
• Cleans, organizes and sanitizes food service areas.
• Maintains inventory and restocks supplies; monitors expiration dates.
• Assists with ordering, tracking and delivering meals and supplies.
• Communicates with dietitian and lead staff on nutritional issues.
• Assists the Dietitian with the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
