Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.
• Five to seven years of progressive nursing experience.
• Prior nursing leadership or management experience required.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall operational leadership for a high-performing inpatient geriatric medicine unit.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline associates while fostering accountability and professional growth.
• Drive quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives using evidence-based practice.
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the care experience for older adults.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Monitor operational and clinical performance metrics, implementing strategies that improve quality, efficiency, patient experience, and workforce engagement.
• Promote a culture of shared governance, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Champion initiatives that support Magnet and Pathway to Excellence standards while advancing nursing professional practice.
• Serve as a trusted leader and change agent within the Division of Nursing and across the organization.
