Job summary

The Cedars of Chapel Hill, an upscale retirement community, seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Health Center's nursing team and deliver high-quality care to our Members.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, developing staffing plans, coordinating daily rounds, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing the department within budget. NC RN licensure and geriatrics experience required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current North Carolina RN license.
2+ years in geriatric nursing or BSN degree.
Minimum 2 years nursing administration, preferably in long-term care.
Participation in geriatrics-focused professional organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, organize, and operate nursing services for the Health Center.
Coordinate staffing levels and nursing assignments for 24-hour coverage.
Maintain daily rounds and scheduling for nursing staff to meet regulatory standards.
Report significant resident developments to physicians and leadership.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
