The US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support Veterans in the Grand Island Community Living Center. You will assist with activities of daily living, participate in care planning, and support licensed staff in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

Applicants must meet basic nursing assistant requirements and be prepared to provide safe, respectful care in line with clinical standards and VA policies.

Qualifications

• Six months general experience or equivalent education as NA.
• One year education above high school with NA-related courses.
• Short, occupation-specific training may meet requirements.
• GS-05 level prefers bachelor’s degree with health-care coursework.

Responsabilités

• Provide range of patient/resident care and contribute to care plans.
• Observe patients and report deviations to supervisor promptly.
• Use basic diagnostic and treatment equipment as trained, e.g., glucose monitors.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals.
