Job summary

Collington, a Kendal Affiliate located on a 125-acre campus in Mitchellville, Maryland, seeks a Geriatric Nursing Assistant for day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) on a full-time basis. The GNA provides direct resident care under licensed staff, following care plans and documenting vital information, while supporting rehabilitative and social goals in a life plan community setting.

Ideal candidates hold a state GNA certificate, have at least six months of long-term care experience, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Registered with State registry.
• State-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program completed.
• Six months' experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and weight as directed.
• Assist residents with grooming, hygiene, toileting, and mobility.
• Follow individualized care plans and prescribed treatments.
• Maintain clean and orderly resident rooms and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
