Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a qualified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the Geriatric Unit and other pediatric-adolescent services as needed. The role focuses on patient advocacy, direct care of activities of daily living, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection for nursing assessments, documentation, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license and behavioral health exposure preferred.
• College credits in social sciences are required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse with data collection for nursing assessment and documentation.
• Observe and document patient data for treatment team discussions and care planning.
• Provide personal care and basic nursing tasks across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and child units as applicable.
• Supervise basic hygiene, nutrition, and elimination needs; assist in activities and groups.
• Record observations accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate patient needs to the clinician.
