Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support geriatric patients on a 36/72 full-time night schedule, every other weekend. You will assist RNs with activities of daily living, monitor safety, and help provide a therapeutic, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include data collection with families, observing and reporting patient status, maintaining documentation, and supporting recreation, hygiene, nutrition, and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: College credits in social sciences required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Training and Experience: Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Active C.N.A license.
• Schedule: 36/72 Full Time Nights - Every Other Weekend.
• Lippitt 1 is a Senior Speciality Unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses in data collection for nursing assessment and documentation per Butler Hospital standards.
• Geriatric, Adult, Adolescent, and Child data gathering with family involvement and recording.
• Observe, report patient data to treatment team and assist in evaluating responses to treatment.
• Supervise basic hygiene, nutrition, and elimination needs per nursing procedures.
• Provide recreational activities and engage in therapeutic conversations with patients.
• Maintain safety and infection control, participate in performance improvement activities.

Skills

Active CNA license

Behavioral Health experience preferred

Education

College credits in social sciences
