Ciel Senior Living in Orlando, FL seeks a Medication Technician to provide medication assistance and personal care to residents, following company guidelines. You will document care and support daily operations in alignment with our mission to elevate seniors’ quality of life.

The role involves medication administration, recording vital signs, maintaining med rooms, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure timely care and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Medication administration training/certification per state requirements.
• Must meet all health requirements.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification per state requirements.
• CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting the company culture and vision.
• Completes documentation per Ciel standards to ensure that all care services are provided and that resident needs are met.
• Participates in narcotic count at shift change, ensuring accurate documentation of inventory count.
• Completes administration of medication as directed, ensuring compliance with Rights of Medication Administration.
• Participates in weekly medication cart audits, as assigned.
• Assists in timely re-ordering of medication.
• Maintains cleanliness of medication room and medication cart.
• Ensures that all new medication orders are faxed to the pharmacy to obtain medication in an accurate and timely manner.
• Informs families when mail order medicines need to be reordered.
• Follows Physician Order Protocol to ensure proper processing of orders.
• Documents and reports any resident change of condition/status per policy.
• Assists in creating and maintaining resident charts in EHR.
• Participates in community Wellness Programs as assigned.
• Obtains and records residents’ vital signs, weight, and more as directed.
• Observes resident to detect responses to medications and reports any reactions.
• Ensures call lights are answered promptly and attends to residents’ needs after alerts.
• Addresses concerns to promote satisfaction and good communication.
• Familiar with fire evacuation and disaster policy and participates in drills.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Understands compliance and ethics program policies.
• Completes mandatory compliance, HIPAA and regulatory training.
• Oversees resident aides during shifts.
• Attends training courses and staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
