Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a Physician-in-Charge (PIC) to provide medical leadership for the PACE SEMI program. The PIC will oversee APPs, direct clinical care for a frail elderly population, and coordinate with the Medical Director on quality and utilization.

The role requires MD or DO with Michigan licensure and Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice, plus geriatric experience and CMS competency approval before independent work. Immunizations must be up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Must be a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy with current Michigan licensure.
• Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
• Experience with geriatrics and care of frail elderly populations.
• CMS competencies approval before working independently.
• Immunizations up-to-date and medically cleared for communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to APPs (Advanced Practice Providers).
• Oversee medical needs assessments, investigations, and care planning for participants.
• Participate in annual mandatory training and maintain professional development.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, Clinic Manager, and IDT for clinic operations and quality initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and participate in National PACE Association activities.
