Job summary

Freedom Behavioral is seeking a part-time Geriatric Therapist to join the Magnolia outpatient IOP. The therapist will conduct geriatric group, individual, and family therapy, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans under supervision.

Emphasis on collaborative care, documentation, and compliance in an outpatient setting. The role requires a Master’s degree and current licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT or equivalent); prior geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Current state licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent.
• Experience in geriatric behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for geriatric patients.
• Provide individual and family counseling per treatment plan.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop plans.
• Document services in the electronic health record timely and accurately.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care.
• Assist with discharge planning and follow-up services.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Support quality improvement and compliance efforts.
