Allied Services in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Dietitian under the supervision of the Director of Nursing to plan, direct, and provide all aspects of nutritional care to residents of the SNC.

The Dietitian will assess nutritional status, develop care plans, review diets, participate in menus, and collaborate with medical and nursing staff. Must be RD certified with a bachelor's in nutrition/dietetics; advanced degree and CNSD preferred; two years of geriatric care experience preferred.

Formación

• Registered dietitian status with a bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Certification as Clinical Nutrition Specialist Dietitian preferred.
• Two years of experience in adult or geriatric health care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews residents to obtain information on food habits and preferences.
• Reviews medical orders for all diets and charts admitting orders.
• Develops nutritional care plans and assessments as ordered.
• Assists in planning regular and modified diet menus considering variety and costs.
• Calculates diets for diabetic and other therapeutic diets; provides counseling.
• Serves as a resource in nutritional care for staff.
• Attends care staffing meetings and QA/QC committee reporting.
• Conducts in-service education for residents, family, and staff.
• Maintains professional growth through seminars and affiliations.
• Performs Diet Clerk duties in absence as necessary (non-essential).
