Job summary

Crestview Home in Bethany, Missouri seeks a cook to join our team. You will prepare meals, desserts and snacks per the menu, and ensure special diets are followed.

You will serve palatable meals, keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health codes, and assist with stocking supplies. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks according to the posted menu schedule; makes sure that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable
• Responsible for keeping work area clean, organized, sanitized, may include washing pots and pans, etc
• Knows health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures and maintains documentation
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions
• Maintains a safe, clean and respectable work environment
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs
