Old Orchard Nursing and Respiratory Center in Toledo, OH is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our care-focused team. You will prepare meals, desserts, and snacks according to the posted menu and dietary needs, while serving meals that are both palatable and presentable.

The role requires an interest in geriatrics, ability to read/write English, and adherence to health and safety standards. The shift is 6 AM to 2 PM; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Interest in geriatrics and ability to read/write English required.
• Knowledge of dietary techniques and procedures a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks per menu; follows special diets.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Adheres to health code requirements for storage and temperatures; maintains documentation.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet portions.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and respectful work environment.
• Participates in continuing educational programs.
