Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in direct patient care for a geriatric population. The role operates on site with night shifts and rotates weekends and holidays.

The position requires a Nursing Assistant certification (NCCT) and BLS within 90 days. 0–1 year of prior medical/surgical experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and clear communication essential for patient safety.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous medical/surgical experience preferred 0-1 year preferred.
• Licenses: Nursing Assistant - NCCT required; BLS certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient care.
• Implements clinical and technical aspects of care and nursing orders.
• Intervenes with proper technique, procedure and safety precautions to meet individual needs of patient.
• Documents nursing intervention, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc. communicates information to licensed nursing personnel.
• Consults with all available in-house resource personnel and departments for treatment.
• Respects dignity and confidentiality of patient acting as an advocate.
• Provides a safe and secure environment for patient.
• Performs in a calm and professional manner during crisis and/or emergency situation.
• Maintains open communication channels with all colleagues and supervisors.
