Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in De Soto, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. This role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care for the frail elderly.

The RN will supervise CNAs/CMTs, administer medications per physician orders, perform assessments, and liaise with physicians to ensure high-quality resident care in a warm, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
• CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
• 2 years’ experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, procedures or regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants and others for whom they are responsible.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work of nursing team members.
• Reports staff shortages to nursing management.
• Administers and documents medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Conducts nursing assessments and notifies physician of changes.
