Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia seeks an Associate Healthcare Director (AHCD) to assist the Healthcare Director in leading health and wellness activities for residents and ensuring efficient operation of resident care services.

The AHCD will supervise the team of medication technicians and nursing assistants, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other providers to deliver coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Current valid and unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state.
• Experience with geriatric care and dementia strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HCD in leading health and wellness activities.
• Supervise medication technicians and nursing assistants in quality care and safety compliance.
• Evaluate residents before move-in to determine care and service needs.
• Develop and revise resident service plans based on evaluations and preferences.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other providers to promote coordinated care.
• Oversee the community’s medication management program and med tech training.
