Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia seeks an Associate Healthcare Director (AHCD) to support the Healthcare Director in leading resident health and wellness programs. You will help supervise medication technicians and nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with regulations and Harmony policies.

You will collaborate with physicians and pharmacists to coordinate care, manage medication safety, and participate in hiring, training, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience caring for geriatric residents and those with dementia preferred.
• 1–2 years required; 3+ years preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Healthcare Director in leading health and wellness activities for residents.
• Supervise medication technicians and nursing assistants to ensure quality care.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare providers for coordinated care.
• Oversee medication management program and staff training for safety.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Harmony policies.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff coaching.
• Maintain infection control standards and survey readiness.
