Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group in Des Moines is seeking a Universal Caregiver to provide caring, personalized assistance to residents in our community. You will support residents with daily activities, hygiene, mobility, and meals, while maintaining safety and dignity.

The role requires empathy, the ability to follow care plans, knowledge of basic health protocols, and the stamina for long shifts. This on-site position offers meaningful work within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, geriatrics, or elder care preferred.
• Must score 85 on Skills Test.
• Caregiver certification may be required in some locations.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and daily personal care.
• Help residents dress, eat, and participate in mobility activities.
• Take vital signs and report changes to nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain clean rooms, beds, linens, and overall resident areas.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide compassionate, respectful interactions with residents.
• Assist with meals and adhere to dietary restrictions.
